How do I use the Annotating Text Tool?

The Annotating Text Tools are available in various resources in Sadlier Connect products that allow teachers and students to mark up the resource with notes, underlining, highlighting and more.

Some resources in From Phonics to Reading, such as the Decodable Passage (in Interactive Decodable Texts) or Blend It (in Interactive Instructional Resources), have an Annotating Text Toolbox.  You can open the tool by clicking the toolbox.

Some resources have five tools within the toolbox and some have four, depending on the purpose of the resource.  These tools can include draw, circle, box, underline and erase

These tools are available to students as well.

Select the desired tool and begin using it by clicking on the word or phrase to be marked up.

Some resources such as the Lesson Cumulative Assessments and Instructional Resources have an annotating tool at the top of the resource.  You can access the tools by click the "eye" icon.
